Kathmandu, May 26 — Former President of Nepal, Bidya Devi Bhandari, who is currently on an official visit to China, is scheduled to deliver a keynote address today in Beijing. She received a warm and grand welcome in Beijing, with honors equivalent to that of a head of government.
Bhandari arrived in Beijing on Sunday morning, leading a delegation for a 10-day official visit. Her visit marks a significant diplomatic engagement between Nepal and China.
During her stay, she is scheduled to deliver keynote speeches on Monday and Friday. Today, she is attending a dialogue program featuring representatives from political parties of various neighboring countries of China, where she will serve as the chief guest and deliver a formal address.
This event is being held in the morning, according to local Beijing time. On Friday, Bhandari will also participate as the chief guest in the fourth edition of a civil society-level dialogue focused on experience sharing and mutual learning, where she will again give a keynote speech.
